Congratulations to the students who represented Coopers Plains State School!
On Thursday 11 August, 14 students from 5/6M attended the 4th annual Sunnybank SHS STEM Challenge. The day is designed to encourage Year 5 and 6 students to consider a career in Science or Engineering, and to study the enabling sciences in senior high school.
Eight local primary schools attended and competed against each other with students assigned to tasks in groups of 2 or 3. Each task earned them points which added to a collective total for the schools.
While challenged, and feeling a little out of their depth (especially with the Lego Mindstorms robotic challenge) our students never gave up with trying their hardest, supporting their group and working collaboratively together.
We are very proud to report that they won Second Place out of the eight competing schools! Congratulations!
